Privacy Policy — 4KWALL

4KWALL does not track you. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising. We do not sell or share personal information. An account is optional and is used only to unlock a paid plan. The one thing the app does send us is an error report when the licence or account screen fails — described in full below.

4KWALL is a desktop wallpaper browser, downloader and auto-changer developed by Warlord Softwares (“we”, “us”). This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, and only locally:

• Settings and preferences — theme, wallpaper-change interval, monitor configuration, download folder.
• Favorites and history — the wallpapers you favorite and view, kept in a local database.
• Cached thumbnails — temporary images that make browsing faster.
• Downloaded wallpapers — saved to a folder you choose (by default, your Pictures folder).
• Wallhaven API key, if you add one — optional, and kept on your device only. It is sent to Wallhaven with your requests, never to us.
• Account token (paid plans only) — if you sign in, a login token is stored on your device so you do not have to sign in again.

None of this is uploaded to us. Uninstalling the app and deleting its data folder removes all of it.

Network connections

4KWALL connects to the internet only for these purposes:

• Wallhaven (wallhaven.cc) — to search for, preview and download wallpapers. Wallhaven receives your IP address, your search terms and standard HTTP request information, exactly as it would if you visited their website. That data is handled under Wallhaven’s privacy policy. We are not involved in and do not see that traffic.
• Update check — the app asks warlordsoftwares.com whether a newer version exists. Only the product name is sent. No identifier, and nothing about you or your wallpapers. (In the Microsoft Store build this is disabled entirely; the Store handles updates.)
• Sign-in and plan check (paid plans only) — if you choose to sign in, your email address and password are sent to warlordsoftwares.com over HTTPS to authenticate you, and the app then asks which plan your account holds. If you never sign in, the app never contacts us for this.
• Error reports from the account screen — see the next section.

The app sends us no analytics, no advertising identifiers, and no record of which wallpapers you browse, favorite, download or set.

Error reports

If something goes wrong while the app is signing you in, checking your plan, or restoring a licence, it sends us an automatic error report so we can fix it. This happens only in that part of the app — nowhere else, and never during normal browsing or downloading.

The report contains:

• the product name and app version, and which operation failed;
• the technical error detail (a stack trace), which in the account screen can include the contents of that screen’s internal state;
• your operating system version;
• your account id and plan name, if you are signed in.

These reports are used only to diagnose faults. They are not used for profiling, advertising or analytics, and are not shared with third parties. They do not include your password, your Wallhaven API key, your files, or your browsing history. If you would like reports associated with your account removed, email us at the address below.

Account information

An account is required only for a paid plan. We store the email address you register with and your plan status, so that the app can verify your licence. We do not use your email for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not share it with third parties. To have your account and its data deleted, email us at the address below.

Purchases

Paid plans are purchased on our website, not inside the app — the app simply opens our pricing page in your browser. Payment is handled there by our payment provider under its own privacy policy. The app itself never sees, handles, or stores your card or payment details.

Third-party content

Wallpapers shown in the app are supplied by Wallhaven, not by us. 4KWALL requests only content marked as suitable for general audiences. We do not host or moderate that content.

Children

4KWALL is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.

Permissions

On Windows, 4KWALL runs with standard user permissions so that it can set your desktop wallpaper and save downloaded images to a folder you choose. It does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, or location.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new “Last updated” date.
